It is NEVER acceptable for Christians to swear, curse, or use profanity in their speech. And there's no excuse for doing it. you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.
It doesn't matter if you smash your finger with a hammer or you're just having a bad day. Don't you think Jesus had a bad day when he was crucified?
Jesus didn't cuss. Don't you think it hurts when they were pounding the nails into His Hand with a hammer? He didn't cuss. Like I said, there's no excuse.
Abusive language shows disrespect for or contempt for sacred things. It's considered as dirty talk, rough talk, and bad behavior.
Always use the names of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit with respect and appreciation. Misusing God's name is a sin. Abusive, low, and vulgar language or gestures, as well as immoral Jokes, offend the Lord and others.
Foul language damages your spirit and demeans you. Don't let other people influence you to use bad language. Instead, use pure language that uplifts and builds others. Choose friends who use appropriate language. Set an example that encourages those around you to use clean language. If friends and acquaintances use low language, kindly encourage them to check their choice of words. If they continue as before, politely leave or change the subject.
If you have developed a habit of cursing, you can break it. Start with a decision to make a change. Pray for help. If you are tempted to use foul language, keep quiet or say what you have to say in different words.
