18-Year-Old Boy Killed 19 Children


A mass shooting at a Texas school was an 18-year-old gunman by the name of Salvador Ramos who killed 21 people at an elementary school in Texas.

The day after his 18th birthday, Salvador Ramos, bought his first assault rifle. A week later, he entered a local elementary school, where he shot and killed 19 children and two female teachers.

Authorities are still trying to determine what led Ramos to commit America's worst school massacre in a decade, but here's what is known about the shooting so far:

Described as a long-time bullied youth with a history of self-harm, Ramos turned 18 on May 16 and bought his first rifle the next day. Three days later, he purchased the second one, and later he got 375 rounds of ammunition." 

 
The 18-year-old shooter was a highschool dropout. He had no criminal record in the past. However; he posted three messages on Facebook Tuesday morning announcing his plans.

In the beginning, he warned on Facebook that he was going to shoot his grandmother, with whom he lived.

The shooter also mentioned that he hit the 66-year-old woman in the face, but she was able to call police and was airlifted in critical condition to a hospital near San Antonio, about 80 miles west of Uvalde.

He then mentioned on his Facebook post that his next target was an elementary school.

He drove a little over 3 km and ended up crashing near an Elementary School, where more than 500 second to fourth grade students, aged between 7 and 10, killing 19 students and two teachers.

Hearing gunshots coming from the school, they ran inside and were fired upon. Some police officers began breaking windows and evacuating children and teachers.

In social media messages to a young German woman he had recently met online, Ramos (shooter) told her that he had just shot his grandmother and was planning to do the same thing at a school.

Finally Ramos was shot and killed by one of the Border Patrol agents.
